This page presents the historical results of a simple, rule-based gold trading strategy executed during Asian market hours. There are no indicators, no predictions, and no discretionary decisions.
The strategy is mechanical, time-based, and boring by design. It is shown here using real historical price data and realistic trading costs.
Every trading day follows the same routine: open a long position at 22:00 UTC and close that position at 06:59 UTC, regardless of profit or loss. (open position on Friday before 22.00 UTC for the monday session!)
There are no stop-loss adjustments, no trade management, and no attempts to “improve” results by hindsight optimization.
This strategy requires a bankroll of approximately 10× the daily wager. Anything less is gambling.
The bankroll buffer exists to survive: losing streaks, volatile overnight moves, temporary margin increases, spread widening, and normal statistical drawdowns.
If you are not comfortable seeing multiple losing days in a row, this strategy is not for you.
